  • Optimal azimuth assumes maximum annual production. For winter optimization, rotate +15° east of south. For summer, rotate +15° west.
  • Optimal tilt is ≈ site latitude. For integrated solar luminaires (post-top), it is typically fixed between 15° and 35° for structural and self-cleaning reasons.
  • This calculator does not consider local shading (buildings, trees, topography). In dense urban environments, validate with a shading study.
  • Shown irradiation is clear-sky averaged. Real output also depends on weather, dust and exact orientation.
